Marvin Raymond Hyatt

Marvin Raymond Hyatt, 60, passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at his home. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, he was an avid outdoorsman with a passion for coon hunting, and had his photo published in various hunting magazines throughout the years. Marvin was a graduate of Enka High School and later became owner and operator of Marvins Tree Service. He always had a happy spirit and enjoyed life, he will be greatly missed. Marvin was the son of the late James Melvin and Ruby Wallace Hyatt. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Glenn Hyatt. Surviving are his sisters: Nancy Lawing and husband Bruce of Leicester, Joyce Durham and husband Jerry of Lawrenceville, VA, and Sue Hyatt of Charlotte; niece, Tammy Crawford (Chris); nephews: Jason Lawing (Wendy), Anthony Durham Jr. (Melissa), and Shane Brown; and by numerous great nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Anders-Rice Funeral Home from 4 till 6 PM Wednesday, December 31, 2014.
