Marguerite Isgett

Asheville - Marguerite Creech Isgett, 81, passed away Monday, March 28, 2011 at The Oaks at Sweeten Creek. A native of Bennettsville, SC. She had resided in Asheville for over 50 years, was a homemaker and was a member of First Baptist Church of Asheville. Mrs. Isgett was the daughter of the late Ebbie Creech and Julia Quick Creech and wife of W. Lee Isgett who died February 14, 2005. She was also preceded in death by her 7 elder brothers, Hardin, Hamer, Howard, Harmon, Willie, Arthur and Walker Creech. Surviving are her children, Sharon Isgett McMurry and husband, Patrick of Arden, Stephen Isgett and wife, Tammie of Fletcher and Scott Isgett of Taylors, SC; grandsons, Timothy Isgett, Tyler Isgett, Noah McMurry and Thomas Isgett; sisters-in-law, Mary Creech of Wallace, SC and Frances Isgett Matheson and husband, Bill of Asheville; brother-in-law, Perry Isgett of Cheraw, SC; several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held 4 PM Thursday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. David Blackmon officiating. The family will receive friends following services at the funeral home.
