Plantation, FL Mary Magdelene (Jean) Wilson, 96, passed away on August 28th in Plantation, Florida at her daughters home, where she had lived for 6 years. She was a long time resident of West Asheville where she resided on Covington Street. She moved to Florida in 1999. Preceding her in death was her husband, William Fred Wilson, Sister Donnie Farlow and Brother Roy Metcalf and grandson Robby Pinkerton. Survivors include her daughter, Pat Pinkerton and husband Colvin; granddaughter, Mynette Fenner and grandson, Kevin Pinkerton and wife Shelley; great grandsons Ethan and Noah Fenner and Kevin Jr., Andrew and Robby Pinkerton; sister in law, Pauline Metcalf; niece, Kathy Metcalf and nephew, Dink Farlow; Irma and Buddy Rudisill who were like a daughter and son to her. Magdelene loved spending time with her grandchildren. She had a special place in her heart for all of her great-grandsons, most recently the triplets born in 2011. She adored her little Maltese dog named Tinkerbelle who kept her going the last years of her life. Magdelene was an avid crafter and seamstress. She made most of her own clothes and clothes for her daughter and grandchildren. She quilted, crocheted and painted. She also enjoyed caring for her flowers while she lived on Covington Street. She had the prettiest yard on the street. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home Friday, September 6, at 10:30 am. Burial will follow in Pisgah View Memorial Park. The Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
