Madge Scott

Fort Worth, TX Madge Evelyn Murray Scott, 92, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at the Fort Worth, TX Hospice. A native of Mars Hill, she had resided in Asheville since the early 30s, moving to Fort Worth in 2008. She formerly worked as a Sales Representative with Belks, Byrds and The Candle Shop in Asheville and was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church since the 1930s. Mrs. Scott was the daughter of the late Tom Greg Murray and Linda Ferguson Murray and wife of Groce Lee Scott who died November 20, 1989. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Carolyn Henderson. Surviving are her daughter, Camellia Ryan and husband Tom of Fort Worth, TX; son, Anthony Tony Groce Scott and wife Linda of Ocala, FL; grandchildren, Michael Scott Ryan and wife DeShaun, Ian Devon Scott and wife Rebecca and Lea Talin Scott; great grandchildren, Liam Ryan and Ledger Ryan; sister, Betty Lunsford and husband Howard of Asheville and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Saturday, October 29, 2016 at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Ronnie Owen and Rev. David Lunsford officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 AM Saturday at the church. Memorials may be made to: Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, 200 Mt.
