Lester Robinson

Leicester - Lester Allen Robinson, 77, of 39 Teague Drive went to be with his Lord Sunday, December 18, 2005 at his home. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County and a member of Aaron Baptist Church. He was employed with Biltmore Company and formerly employed with Highland Hospital and Fredrickson Trucking Company. Mr. Robinson was the son of the late Lamar and Hattie Sawyer Robinson. Surviving are his wife, Mabel Ann Calloway Robinson of the home; daughters, Carol Cooke and husband Terry of Asheville and Pam Stewart and husband Jimmy of Leicester; sons, Allen Robinson and wife Patty of Candler and Alvin Robinson and wife Donna of Leicester; grandchildren, Brian, Tracy, Scott, Jonathan, Chris, Michael and Chad and great grandchildren, Dustin, Alyssa, Alex and Abby. Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Wednesday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Revs. Daniel Stephenson and Gary Fender officiating. Burial will be in Green Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Aaron Baptist Church Missions, 266 View Street, Asheville, N.C. 28806.
