Lee Roy Clements, Jr.

Asheville Lee Roy Clements, Jr., 78, of Oak Hill Circle, passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at his home. A native of Pasadena, TX, he had resided in Buncombe County most of his life. He retired in 1990 with the Asheville Water Dept following seven years of service, was an avid Jeff Gordon and Elvis Presley fan and was a US Army veteran. Mr. Clements was a son of the late Lee Roy Clements and Dorothy Adina Israel Austin and husband of the late Joyce Ann Doan Clements. He was also preceded in death by his step father, C.J. Chick Austin. Surviving are his sisters, Ellen Snelson and husband Philip and Shirley Coffey and husband Gary all of Asheville and Linda Kuykendall and husband Steve of Fairview; brothers, Alton Leon Clements and wife Shirley of Camby, IN and James Howard Clements and wife Joyce Ann of Arden and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 3 PM Friday, April 24, 2015 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Pastor Doug Hopkins officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:45 PM Friday at the funeral home.
