Jerry Calloway

Asheville Jerry Allen Calloway, 77, of 17 Johnston Blvd went to be with his Lord on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at his residence. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, he was a self-employed Building Contractor, formerly employed with Taylor Instruments as a Chemist and for over 30 years, he worked with the NC Division Services for the Blind. Mr. Calloway was the son of the late Willie Bill Calloway and Zennie Thomas Calloway. Surviving are his wife, Billie Jane Janie Wright Calloway of the home; sister, Gloria Calloway of Asheville and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Monday, January 7, 2013 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. John T. Tiller officiating. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 PM Monday at the funeral home.
