Jerry Arrowood

Candler - Jerry Arrowood, 80, of 19 Ashe Rd. died Sunday, April 18, 2004 at his residence. A native of Cowpens, SC, he had lived for most of his life in Buncombe County. He was retired from Biltmore Dairy and was a charter member of Friendship Baptist Church. Mr. Arrowood was the son of the late Walter James and Ella Brown Arrowood. Surviving are his wife, Marie Greene Arrowood of the home; daughter, Martha West of Asheville; sons, David Arrowood of Candler and Lane Arrowood and wife Linda of Arden; 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 6 PM Monday in the Anders-Rice Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Keith Watkins officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. A graveside service will be held at 11 AM Tuesday at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Enka. Memorials may be made to Mountain Area Hospice, P.O. Box 25338, Asheville, NC 28813.
