Jeanette S. Lassiter

Asheville Jeanette Susie Robinson Lassiter, 73, of 35 King Arthur Place, passed away Saturday, August 9, 2008 at her residence. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County. She retired in 1998 from Square D Company after 25 years of service and was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. Mrs. Lassiter was a daughter of the late Fate Raymond Robinson and Cora Matilda Meadows Robinson. She was also preceded in death by a son, William Edwin Keith Lassiter and brother, Vono Robinson formerly of Leicester. Surviving are her husband, Earl Patrick Max Lassiter, whom she married January 9, 1953, of the home; daughters, Maxine Fugate (Jim) of Waynesville, Barbara L. Davis of the home, Eva Jean Kestner (Bob Gaddy) of Asheville, Patty L. Moody (Robert Brown) of Candler, and Diane L. Stevens (Bruce) of Leicester; son, Frank Lassiter (Mary Ann) of Alpharetta, GA; sisters, Ruby Buckner of Alexander, Robbie Ramsey of Marshall, and Gladys Banks of Asheville; brothers, Alonzo Robinson of Leicester and Wayne Robinson of Buford, GA; 11 grandchildren & 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Tuesday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Revs Dr. Buddy Corbin (Care Partners Hospice Chaplain), Everette C. Haney, Jr. and Charles Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery.
