Mooresboro, NC James Albert Lipe, 57, passed away Friday, December 2, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, Mr. Lipe worked as a painter with Asheville Painting and Decorating. He loved to fish, build model cars, and dogs. Mr. Lipe was a lovable man, who cared deeply for his entire family. Mr. Lipe was the son of the late Jack Eugene and Hazel Frances Hipps Lipe, and was also preceded in death by his infant great-granddaughter, Baby Faith Norris. Surviving are his wife, Audrey Case Lipe; daughter, Cassie Lipe; step-daughters: Eva Trull and Diane Pulliam; son, James Albert Rice; sisters: Darlene McHone and Angie York; brothers: Jack Lipe, Lawrence Lipe, and Michael Lipe; nine grandchildren; two special step-granddaughters: Tabitha Riddle and Kimberly Riddle; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Per Mr. Lipes request, no services will be held at this time.
