Herbert Curtis "Hubie" Hodge

Asheville - Herbert Curtis Hubie Hodge, 76, of 1430 Riverside Dr. died Wednesday, November 12, 2003. A native of Buncombe County, he was raised in Brevard and lived most of his life in Buncombe County. He was a son of the late William Wayne Hodge, Sr. and Leoria Wright Hodge and was also preceded in death by 3 brothers, Jr., Riley and Bill Hodge. Surviving are his wife, Vera Mae Gilden Hodge; daughter, Connie Ledford and husband Danny of Hendersonville; sons, Steven L. Rollins and Jeff Rollins both of Hendersonville and James Hutchison, Robin Coates and Kenneth Angel all of Asheville.; sister, Dorothy Childress of Forest City; brothers, Charley Hodge of Morganton, Clarence Hodge of Asheville, Dave Hodge of Vero Beach, Fl. and Wayne Litz of Morristown, Tn.; grandchildren, Melissa, William Curtis, Steven Ryan and Stephanie Marie Rollins and Amy Gail, Shane Edward and Kaylee Brianna Ledford; great grandchildren, Devin McKee and Kobe Nolan; and special friend Rena Coates. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Robert E. Harris officiating. Burial will be in Cane Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9:00 P.M. Saturday at the Funeral Home.
