Hazel Edwards

Asheville Hazel Bryant Edwards, 93, formerly of Asheville Terrace Apartments, went to be with her Lord on Monday, April 10, 2017 at the Laurels of Green Tree Ridge. A native of Haywood County, she resided in Buncombe County for most of her life. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. She was the daughter of the late John Clingman Bryant and Annie Keener Bryant and was the wife of Willie Arnold Edwards who died in 1972. Surviving are her sons, Wade Arnold Edwards of Asheville and Johnny Ray Edwards of Candler; daughters, Shirley Jean Austin and Patsy Ann Edwards both of Asheville; 10 grandchildren; several great and great-great grandchildren; brother, Carl Bryant of Candler and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Corinth Baptist Church with Rev. Rodney Franklin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
