Frances Mashburn Stewart

Asheville - Frances Mashburn Stewart, 72, of 650 Caribou Rd. Apt 125 died Friday October 7, 2005 at the Hospice Solace Center after a short illness. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy. She was the daughter of the late Jessie Edmond and Rachel Pearl Rector Mashburn. She was also preceded in death by her son, Alan Stewart; sister, Dorothy Dot Hoss and brothers, Emmitt, Lonnie and Lewis Mashburn. Surviving are her children, Gary Stewart of Van Buren, AK, Jeanie Regina Butler and husband Steve , Danny Stewart and Denise Mullen and husband David all of Asheville; brothers, Leon, Richard, Bob, Gene and J.D. Mashburn all of Asheville; 16 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday at the Church of God of Prophecy with the Rev. Rolf Woodard and Rev. Ray Wynes officiating. Burial will be in Green Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Sunday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Mrs. Stewarts granddaughter, Christy Owenby, 33 Misty Ridge Lane, Leicester, NC.
