Floye "Betty" Marlowe

Fairview Floye Betty Penley Marlowe, 87, went home to celebrate Christmas with Christ and be reunited with her husband, John Marlowe, in Heaven on Saturday, December 24, 2016 at Fleshers Fairview Healthcare Center. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was a member of Spring Mountain Baptist Church. Mrs. Marlowe was the daughter of the late Floyd Pinkney Penley and Louise Helen Jackson Penley and wife of John Lewis Marlowe who died June 8, 2002. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Granville Penley. Surviving are her sons, John Michael Marlowe and wife Karen and David Lee Marlowe and wife Crystal, all of Fairview; grandchildren, Amber Cicillian (Zach), Jonathan Marlowe (Kelly), Brandon Marlowe and Jeffrey Marlowe; great grandchildren, Landon and Wyatt Cicillian and Logan Marlowe; brother, Weldon Penley (Ailene) of Asheville and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at Spring Mountain Baptist Church with Rev. Anthony Roberts, Rev. Charles Rogers and Rev. Zach Cicillian officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday at the church.
