Elna Ledford Sprinkle Davis

Asheville - Elna Ledford Sprinkle Davis, 88, of 8 Ramoth Rd. went to be with the Lord on Easter Sunday, April 11, 2004 at the Mountain Area Hospice Solace Center. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was a lifelong member of the Evangelical Methodist Church. Mrs. Davis was the daughter of the late Talmadge and Nellie Clontz Ledford. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Cleo Marie Sprinkle, and a brother Curtis Ledford. Surviving are her sons, Bruce Sprinkle and wife Marie of Asheville and L.G. Davis and wife Sheri of Leicester; grandchildren, Lisa Culbertson and husband Jack, Bynum Sprinkle and wife Gina, Lori Ledford and husband Chris, Dan Sprinkle, Amber Nicholson and husband Mark, and Autom Davis; great grandchildren, Bethany, Hannah and Graham Culbertson, Jabin, Rebekah, Nathan and Rachel Sprinkle, Lauren and Landon Ledford; brother, Ted Ledford and wife Ruby of Matthews, NC; sister Clara DeBruhl of Asheville. A graveside service will be held at 2 PM Wednesday at Green Hills Cemetery. The Rev. Tom Lomax will officiate. Memorials may be made to Mountain Area Hospice, P.O. Box 25338, Asheville, NC 28813.
