Hendersonville David Ray King, 47, passed away peacefully Thursday, October 19, 2017 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals. A native of Buncombe County, Mr. King had resided in Henderson County for the past two years. He was the plant manager of Adams/Old Castle Block Manufacturing Company, and was a member of Rays Chapel Baptist Church. He was an avid outdoorsman, and thoroughly enjoyed hunting and fishing. Mr. King was the son of Juanita Silvers King and husband David, and the late Ray King. In addition to his mother, surviving are his children: Danielle Angel and husband Jordan, Dehemih King, Jason King, Joshua King, Katlin King, Johnathan King and Jeffrey King; grandchildren: Brooklyn Angel, Jeremiah Angel, Isiah King, MacKenzie King, Kaiden King, Kaleb King, and Khloe King; siblings: Mary Lou Caldwell, Heather Roberts, Stephen King and Tracie Franklin; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM noon Monday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with the Rev. Eric Sams and Tim Roberts officiating. Private burial will follow in the Silvers Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM 12:00 PM Monday at the funeral home. The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to the staff and work family of Adams/Old Castle for the compassion shown to them during this difficult time.
