Hendersonville Clarence Elmer Waycaster, 75, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 12, 2015, at the John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center. A native of McDowell County and a resident of Henderson County for the past 19 years, he was a son of the late Robert Will Waycaster and Emma Lou Thomas Waycaster. He was also preceded in death by his wife Carolyn Grace Gillespie Waycaster, who passed on July 12, 2010; son, Jeffery Dean Waycaster; 4 sisters and 1 brother. Mr. Waycaster was a member and Deacon of Gospel Tabernacle. Surviving are his sons: Randy Waycaster and wife Teresa of Candler, and Phillip Dale Waycaster of Edneyville; sisters: Claudia Gooch and husband Joe of Claremore, OK, Della Davis of Leicester, Willie Lou Barbour and husband George of Adair, OK, and Nell Whisnant of Rock Hill, SC; brothers: Danny Waycaster and wife Linda of Candler, Jack Waycaster and wife Linda of Sebring, FL, and Kenneth Waycaster and wife Pat of Sebring, FL; grandchildren: Diana, Cheyenne, Shawna, and Mathew; great grandsons: Davin, Benjamin, Jackson, and Kyler; great granddaughter, Karalyne Grace; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 10 A.M. Saturday, May 16, 2015, at the Gospel Tabernacle with Pastor Jerry Hensley officiating. Burial will follow in Gashes Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
