Carolyn Henderson

Asheville Lois Carolyn Murray Henderson, 70, of 239 Mt. Carmel Road, passed away Thursday, December 28, 2006 at the Laurels of Greentree Ridge, following a period of declining health. A native of Madison County, she had resided most of her life in Buncombe County. She was a caregiver in home healthcare and was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Linda Mae Ferguson Murray and the widow of Robert Thomas Henderson, who passed away May 12, 1991. She was also preceded in death by a son, Thomas Matthew Henderson. Surviving are her son, Terry Allen Henderson and wife Randy Lee of Asheville; daughter in law, Jennie Henderson of Asheville; grandchildren, Brandon Henderson, Shaun Henderson and wife, Christi, Johnathon Henderson, Michael McAteer, Katie Hall and husband, Nick; great grandson, Dayton Hall; sisters, Madge Scott of Asheville and Betty Lunsford and husband Howard of Leicester. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Monday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dr. Ronnie Owen officiating. Private graveside services will be held at the Sluder Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
