Betty Bentley

Asheville Betty Lee B.B. Kelly Bentley, 80, of 305 Piney Mtn Drive (H-2) passed away Thursday, November 18, 2010 at the St. Joseph Campus of Mission Hospitals. A native of Madison County. She had resided in Buncombe County for most of her life and retired as Office Manager at Haywood County Medical Center. She was a member of the Carolina Mountain Club, formerly had served as Chief Judge for the Buncombe County Board of Elections, taught Aerobics at the Harvest House and traveled extensively with the Friendship Force. Mrs. Bentley was a daughter of the late Charles Edward Kelly and Mary Etta Ball Kelly and wife of Hurbert Bentley who died in 1988. Surviving are her sisters, Faye M. Langen of Huntsville, AL, Wilda Jane Arrington & husband J.B. and Charline K. Christopher all of Asheville; nieces, Tammy Harmon of Houston, TX, Kelly Bradley of Mooresville and Toyna Treadway of Pineville, LA; nephews, Eddie Dean Lunsford of Atlanta, GA, Joe Allen Lunsford of Huntsville, AL and Charles Alfred Lunsford of Richmond, VA. Private services will be held at a later date.
