Adrianne M. Sawyer

Crown Point, Indiana - Adrianne Marcelle Fisher Sawyer, 59, of 5029 East 107th Place died Wednesday, April 30, 2003 at her residence. A native of Thomasville, Georgia, she had resided in Asheville for a number of years. Mrs. Sawyer was a registered nurse and formerly employed with Memorial Mission Hospital, Appalachian Hall and Blue Ridge Mental Health Center. She received her Bachelors Degree in Psychology from St. Mary of the Woods in Terre Haute, Indiana. She was the daughter of Vaughn Bristol Fisher of Thomasville, Georgia and the late Sarah Isabelle Fisher. Surviving in addition to her father are her husband of 36 years, Fred Robert Sawyer of the home who affectionately called her A; son, Michael Robert Mike Sawyer and wife, Kay of Rock Hill, S.C.;grandchildren, Avery, Drew and Jesse Sawyer all of Rock Hill; brother, Vaughn Bristol Fisher III and wife, Paula of Arden; uncle and aunt, John and Jeanette Fisher of Asheville; several cousins and a host of friends. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry L. Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Green Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
