Candler - Ada Bentley Moss, of Mossy Oak Trail, went home to Heaven to live with her Lord on March 7, 2018. A native of Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late James Frank Bentley and Myrtle Bryson Bentley. Mrs. Moss resided in Glenville before making her home in Buncombe County in 1959. She retired in 1986 from BASF following 24 years of service and was a beloved mother of six children and homemaker. She was a member of Stoney Fork Baptist Church. Mrs. Moss was devoted to her children; a grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, friend and neighbor who loved the Lord and the church family, and she always had kind words for everyone. She was preceded in death by her husband, Guss Moss who passed away in 1981, three brothers, Edwin Bentley, Marvin Bentley and Cecil Bentley, one sister, Jewel Woodring and son-in-law, Gary Warren. Surviving are her daughters, Talatha Moss, Velma Crowe and her husband, Robert and Diana Warren; sons Victor Moss, Randy Moss, Sherman Moss and his wife, Jackie all of Candler; 10 grandchildren, all of whom she adored, Tommy, Barry, Tracy, Audrey, Andy, Keith, Amy, Matt, Lisa and Jason; 21 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren and sisters, Kathleen Williams of Easley, SC and Sue Smith of Pickens, SC. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Monday, March 12, 2018 at Stoney Fork Baptist Church with the Reverends Tommy Crowe and Jeff Massey officiating. Graveside services will be held at 3 PM Monday at Pine Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in the Glenville Community of Jackson County. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons and great grandsons. The family will receive friends 10 to 11 AM Monday at the Stoney Fork Baptist Church. At other times, the family will be at the home, 31 Mossy Oak Trail in Candler.
