Asheville – Roy Lewis Banks, 76, passed away June 26, 2012 at the John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center.
A native of Buncombe County. He was of the Baptist Faith, was a U.S. Marine during the Korean War and was a lifetime member of the V.F.W.
Mr. Banks was the son of the late Hillard Banks and Violet Pegram Banks.
Surviving are his children, Sabrina Banks, Regina Lauffer, Dennis Banks, Roy Banks, Jr., Joseph Banks and Lori Inman; sister, Bernice Hart; 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
