Tina, Christian & Ashley,

I am so sorry to hear about Tommy's passing. He always had the biggest smile & the most contagious laughter of anyone I ever met. I knew the first time I met him that he loved the Lord and he demonstrated it time and time again with everyone he came into contact with. I also loved to hear him sing and I can only imagine what a time he is having singing in that heavenly choir. I know that the days ahead will be hard, but please know my family and I are praying for God to comfort you and to wrap His loving arms around you during this difficult time. The Bible says in Psalms 30:5 - In His favor is life, weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. So thankful that we have the promise of seeing him again one day. Love you all.

Mr. Helms was always so friendly and kind when I saw him during his times substituting at Enka High. The students always looked forward to days when they knew he would be substituting.
My sincere condolences to you in this loss.

I didnt know Mr. Helms personally but was around him frequently when we were a part of Tae Kwon Do. I recently saw him at his daughters band concert and realized he was ill. I felt it was important to tell his family how kind he was to others. I was inspired by his kindness towards others but especially his children. He was always such a strong supporter of anything in which they participated. He never shared his faith with me - but he didnt need to. I saw it in his life. Deepest condolences for each of you.

Mr. Helms was always a welcome sight in the classroom and in the community, he was a phenomenal man that will surely be missed. I remember vividly him as a substitute teacher throughout middle school, where hed teach me how to make paper airplanes. I never quite nailed it down, but I got a lot better at it nonetheless. Prayers for all of you during this time.
