Welzie and I were in school together at Woodfin. We graduated together and later were stationed on the same Air Force Base in Korea. I was shocked to hear of his passing and regret not seeing him much in recent years. My sincere condolences are extended to his family.

I have known this family for 27 years now. They have always made me feel welcome. Welzie was like a father to me. He never knew a stranger and would help anyone he could. He had a big heart. He is loved and missed.
