Dear Carol, We were so saddened to hear of Mark's passing. We are even more sorry that we could not attend the funeral or visitation, but we want you to know that we were praying for you and will continue to pray for you as you go through this time of grief. Please know that you can call us anytime and talk, come see us, or we can come over. We really thought a lot of Mark and I enjoyed working with him at Cherry St and Jim enjoyed working with him and we both enjoyed his laughter and the kind person he was. Please know that you are in our thoughts & prayers and that God will give you the peace and comfort you need to get through. In Christ's Love, Jim & Claudette

Junior, I will miss your great sense of humor on the telephone.......you always were sweet and considerate towards my mom, Rhoda Pruitt, before and after my dads passing..........for that alone you are golden to me but most importantly, when I did get to visit with you and Carol on those rare occasions we shared many laughs & there was no stiffness, only acceptance that I am a part of the family no matter how few times I saw you....I miss you dearly and you and your family are in my prayers........... Love always, Elaine Pruitt Rhoda Pruitt Barbosa - ( my four legged child )

Carol and Lori, Even though I wasn't very close to Mark, he was my cousin and he was very comforting when my dad Gene Pruitt passed away this past February. He told me I needed to move back to the south to get rid of my yankee accent. I know both my parents, Rhoda and Gene enjoyed talking to him when he would call them. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers at this time. Kathy Culbreth

I would like to send my condolences to the family. Carol, we had our ups and downs but I truly want you to know that I cared deeply for you and Mark. When I arrived in Asheville in 1990 to work for Southern Bell, Mark was one of the first people to welcome me and show me around the area. We would smoke cigarettes in the morning around the forklift and poke fun at the guys as they came through the garage. Mark's personality made it difficult to take him too serious, but he certainly made work endurable. I will never forget his laughter and outlook on life.

Carol, we love you and although there are no right words at this time, you are in our hearts. Lori, having recently lost Jenny's dad, we have walked in your shoes and know how it feels to lose a dad, stay strong. Words cannot express how I feel about the time I spent with Mark Arrowood. He took a kid trying to make it in the telephone company and taught him how to be a man. He enabled me to be "laid back" and would say "Ski relax, you can't build Rome in a day". When I approached him about Masonry the light glowed bright through his face. He coached me through the degrees and guided me through the chairs to the east. He was the best secretary a Master could ask for. I could go on and on about Mark but the most important thing that I want everyone to know is that everyday I spent with Mark Arrowood was filled with laughter. His outlook on life was second to none and I truly hope that God enjoys Mark as much as I did.
