Ronda Griffin contributed this message on Wednesday, July 21, 2010:

Barbara & Mike I would like to personally thank you for your love & support to Philip at this time. I know this a hard time for both of you too. Maamaw Griffin was a great influence in both of our daughters lives. Even though Brandi wasn't born a Griffin, her daddy has always been Philip & her Maamaw was always your mother. She loved her & your mom loved Brandi. We still laugh about Brandi wanting some yogurt, but telling Maamaw she wanted deodorant to eat. Your mom was so confused, but laughed her butt off when she realized what Brandi was wanting. Whittni was Maamaw & Paapaw's "lil" buddy. She stayed with them afer school & got Maamaw to do her home work most of the time, while her & paapaw worked on more important things, like fixing something, that probably wasn't broken to start with. But, hey, they might make it work a little better. Both of my children, had the blessing of spending endless hours with your mom & dad, and for that, God blessed them both tremendously. Me, Brandi, & Whittni, all give you two our deepest sympathany, but want you to know your Mom was very deeply loved, & will be missed more than you will ever know. Once again, thanks from the bottom of our hearts, we love you both!! Love, Ronda, Brandi, & Whittni
