Dear Irene and family, So sorry to hear of Jerry's passing. But the memories will live forever in our hearts. He was one of the sweetest men who ever lived. You two were definitely meant for each other and the dedication you had for one another was evident. I will always remember our years at Woodfin Gospel and all the other places we were blessed to have labored in the Lord together. He always loved the song, "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere", Now he is in that beautiful place where the SON will always shine. I know that the earth itself will miss his footsteps upon it. How well I remember the Joyland Singers and what a blessing you all were. Won't it be a time when all God's singers get home? I can recall the one homecoming in particular when he followed me around trying to catch my mouth open and he finally did!! Man, that was good banana pudding!! He thought that was the funniest thing ever. But that was Jerry. He loved life and he loved his friends and he sure loved a good laugh. A brave warrior who was finally able to lay down his sword and shield and take up his crown.
